ABC 7 Chicago   "Someone You Should Know" Harry Porterfield

Chicago HOPES was featured on Harry Porterfield's human-interest broadcast "Someone You Should Know" which airs Tuesdays and Thursdays on the 5 p.m. ABC newscast. He visited our Maria Shelter and interviewed students, tutors, and Chicago HOPES staff.

The article deals with the mural "Seeds of Hope" which is located at the Great Hope Family shelter. Our children were interviewed explaining the symbolism within the mural. "Seeds of Hope" was created over 8 weeks during our 2008 summer program.
