What You Can Do

Volunteer

Without volunteers our program could not exist. Because tutoring will become one of the few consistent things in the lives of the children we serve, we ask for a minimum commitment of one tutoring session per week for the length of one semester. There is no need to worry about your own academic credentials or lack of tutoring experience! Chicago HOPES tutors need only be genuinely enthusiastic and ready to make a strong commitment. All of our volunteers are required to attend a Chicago HOPES training session to prepare them for their experience as a tutor.

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out the information sheet. If you are unable to commit to our requirements but would like to learn more  opportunities to get involved with Chicago HOPES, please indicate you’re interest on the information sheet. All volunteers must be 18 and over and out of high school.

Former Tutors

Hey all former Chicago HOPES tutors! We appreciate your past service to our organization and the children. Your experience and input is key to helping us in our consistent efforts to imporve and grow our organization. Please take a few minutes to fill out our Former Tutor Survey.
